[dt. »Bilder fallenlassen«], das Auslassen von Frames, beispielsweise beim Einlesen analoger Videodaten über ein Capture Board. Das Frame Dropping tritt immer dann auf, wenn zu viel Rechenzeit benötigt wird, z. B. weil der interne Bus oder die CPU nicht schnell genug ist.
